The afternoon was spent in Patan. The Golden Temple, a temple from carved brick where I paid respect to Buda. The story is that the king cut off the hands if the artist so that he could not carve another temple out of brick. The night ended with beautiful luminaries at our hotel to celebrate the festival.
Started the day at Durbar Square. The earthquake did a lot of damage and the temples are in different states of repairs. One fascinating temple is the living goddess temple. Such an interesting story. The wood carvings of the temples are spectacular. This was a day of animal sacrifice for the Dasani Festival.

Really great day. Went to church, visited the oldest Hindu temple and painted the new house for the family whose house was destroyed in the earthquake. To end the day we did a little shopping.
