Frederick and Isabel Visit Brighton

30 December 2017

Our final day was really busy! We cycled again, played two 18 hole rounds of crazy golf, walked to Brighton Marina and had lunch in Frankie and Benny’s. On our way back to the hotel to collect our luggage we saw the starlings flocking around the two piers one last time. Then we went to the station and caught the train home.
We had a bit of a cycling holiday too - hire bike stations have been conveniently located all along the prom, along with a designated cycle lane where needed.

Today we went to the Sea Life Centre. It is an aquarium in a lovely Victorian building which is beautifully lit with changing coloured lights. We had lunch at Harry Ramsdens. In the evening we saw the starling murmuration again, had dinner in Pizza Express and saw Grease The Musical at the Theatre Royal.

We spent some time today in the arcade, and managed to win two little model beach huts and some tickets on the slot machines.
We have had a very busy Day 2 with lots of time spent on the beach! The weather was sunny, with only a slight breeze, so it was actually a little bit warm! We sat on the beach in the morning, ate our sausage and chips there too, and returned there in the evening to watch the starling murmuration (when these birds flock together in large numbers before roosting under the pier).

Hello everyone! It’s been a little while since we last went away and wrote a Journi! We are visiting Brighton for a couple of days and arrived by train at about 4pm. We then checked in to our hotel on the seafront, got settled in and then walked to the Harvester where we had a lovely meal with Isabel’s Grandma’s cousin Joyce. The weather was dry but quite cold!
