His and hers snacks at O'Hare.
We had some extra time after our lunch, so we headed for the fashion outlets. Look at this, a Lululemon. :-)
Found this cute little crêpe shop via Yelp. Food was delicious. Love our little impromptu excursions.
Long flight. Erin working on dominating hangman. We survived.

Found an amazing restaurant in Belfast on our way down to Dublin. Locally owned, we loved the food.
Example of a road sign to maneuver ! Nick
Is now the road master 👍🏻
Sites as we left the bridge. We just could not get enough of the scenery and really didn't want to leave -AT ALL!!
Carrick a rede bridge was one of our favorite places of all . Perfect way to end our tour of the island of Ireland 🇮🇪.
Giants causeway -another place of natural beauty
Cushendall for lunch . Super cute small town !
Coastal road to Giants causeway. So many beautiful sites and cute little Towns!
Fancy breakfast at the Fitzwilliam.
Quick trip to Starbucks for my beautiful bride. This sign reminded me of Rick sketching in the Chicago Starbucks the morning of our wedding.

Dinner at Coppi's was delicious 😋 oh and the bartender was very entertaining to watch !!
St Ann's cathedral . Belfast landmark
Cathedral quarter was interesting. Combo of deserted streets with some super busy alleyways.
More sights from Belfast . Old buildings mixed in w new everywhere .
Checked into hotel in Belfast ! Definitely a nice place - playing classical music in our room when we entered 😊
Checking out the SS Nomadic. Erin takes her ship steering seriously.
Made it to Northern Ireland . Tricky as you enter there is a welcome sign and literally no speed limit signs for 10 miles. The only sign you see is one that says speed limit in mph but not what it is. One travel article gives a possible reason ! We figured it out eventually - lol
More Pictures from Knowth
Knowth- chamber tomb built before the pyramids with the largest discovered collection of Neolithic painting - art. Definitely worth it . We Had forgotten about it and literally saw the sign off the interstate and made a last minute turn . Worked out for us !
Cute neighborhood creperie to get our day started out right !
6 July 2017
Made it to our hotel and were
Exhausted so ordered room service . Good news is it was delicious and worth the extra to have it brought into the room !
Little shopping in limerick after breakfast ! Then on the road again !
Had to visit Milano pizza. Had visited there about 5 times in previous trip to Ireland. Loved it again!!
Really cool Old building out in the field . Hard to describe the views you see here . Nothing like it .
So when the road has squiggly lines on it what does that mean ?!?
Moher pics 2
Cliffs of Moher were worth the drive . I may have freaked out when nick was laying out on an edge but we left unharmed !
Moher pics 3
Prehistoric sculpture out in the middle of no where. Interesting 👌🏻
Settled in for a quick night sleep
And a bed and breakfast . The Oranhill lodge b&b. Cute and comfortable with a delicious breakfast !
Breakfast at our B&B. Super tasty "cheesy egg" and French toast.

Music on the streets of Killarney. Loved this town.
Dinner was delicious at a little French restaurant in Kilarney. Probably my favorite town thus far. Steet
Entertainment , shops, and restaurants galore, oh and a Murphys ice cream !
Ross castle was our last stop before dinner . We thought we were doing great getting there by 5:10 however were Disappointed when the castle closed to the last person in at 4:15?!? The second castle in a row that we've missed the mark. We may have snuck in through the exit but could only get a little
Ways in. Booo
Muckrock house and Troc falls gave us a chance to walk around and unwind after our cross country trek! Beautiful Forrest and falls. Great way to unwind and enjoy nature .
Additional crazy drive pics
Well we didn't end up taking the direct route from Blarney to Kilarney. Sadly apple maps promised us a 5 min savings of time for our route which ended up adding 2 hours to our drive . We had a dog chase us , navigation telling us to turn left on a road but gave no road name because there was not one, sheep on the road and one lane roads that were 2 way. The Reward was the spectacular view of the valley at the top of a mountain . An experience we will never forget - oh and we
Made it safe and sound !
Here is the Blarney stone ..anticlimactic for
Blarney Castle . Outside and in
Streets of Cork
Breakfast at the market in Cork. Amazing market if you wanted to buy fresh meat or seafood as well as produce and bread!
4 July 2017
Made it to our hotel in Cork. Great place with what turned out to be a view of a major 🔥. An old iconic building destroyed- former psychiatric hospital- St Ann's . Tons of people out taking photos and just watching .
So when you pull up to get out of the garage and realize you must pay back by where you parked .... you just park the car where it is and walk to pay . Way to hard to drive backwards 😂
Dinner time at Uncle Petes -all sorts of gluten free food ! Nick loved his pizza - me well it was ok😊
So sad the Cahir castle closed as we were trying to figure out how to pay for the what turned out to be free parking 😜just got to see the outside !!
Amazing views inside and out
On our way to the Rock of Cashel. Nick is getting the hang of keeping to his right ... with just a few reminders from me😊
River Liffey again . So pretty
Dublin Castle- smack dab in the middle of the city .
Random street - no idea what it is but looked interesting ;)
Really cool Starbucks - didn't stop at this one though 😜
The Goose on the Loose for breakfast . Delicious and cute place with charm!
The Gibson is surrounded by construction which hurt our rating of the place but overall nice....and certainly has character!
Starbucks and C4 to start the day. Someone is still snoozing. ❤️
3 July 2017
The Spire-liken it to the Eiffel Tower. Supposedly the tallest sculpture around. Apparently many of
The Irish think it's an eyesore - we think it's kind of
I think this pic is totally Erin. She isn't super fond of it. :)
The Liffey River
Temple bar area was super cool!
Temple bar area. Hopping with bars and live music !

St Andrews church and beautiful street surrounding .
Nick couldn't wait for Murphy's and it was worth the wait for him !
Someone needed new shellac. So we found a shady 2nd floor place that stayed open for us. Super nice ladies.
The Hairly Lemon 🍋. A yelp find
Appetizer ! How can we resist a donut shop?
St Stephens green. Park in the middle of the City
Exploring the grounds of Trinity College and St Stephens Green. So pretty!
While our hotel is off the beaten path, the tram is right next to it and took us downtown in a jiffy!
Look who found their long lost sunglasses! In the camera case...
Here goes nothing .... first attempt at driving !
Here we are Dublin !
Some beautiful views in the sky- flying between layers of clouds . Breathtaking😊
I saw it first! A little game my dad and I play when traveling ! Carrying out the tradition 😎
2 July 2017
And we're off to Dublin!
Found my book store - 😂 since the boys call me Barbara ...
Someone chipped their nail. So we tried to get into the airport spa. Booked for the next three hours. How does that happen? So I got a bandaid to cover the finger so Erin doesn't pick it to death. :)
No stop in Chicago is complete without Garretts!!
So we had an extra 4.5 hours at the airport so we decided to Uber to our favorite pizza place! Then we met Lashaun. The Ford factory worker on her two week hiatus. Our venture started by her calling, and asking if we could walk down to where she was that, because she didn't want to have to go around. Three more times she called. The last time asking us if we could "walk a little faster. "We finally got in the car. And it went downhill from there. Somehow, she never actually start of the ride properly. So she had no idea where we we're going. At one point we were in the middle of a giant intersection and sure which direction we were going. Long story short, we made it, somehow. We're considering calling her back for the return trip....
UPDATE: We did not ride back with Lashaun. We did try to call but no luck ;)
We love Lou's! Drinks for both of us 😉
Up up and away
Erin checking out the neck pillows. Over/under on how many hours she will sleep?
Hey look we remembered to take a picture at the beginning! Woohoo!!
