Mini icebergs from Mt Cook Glacier! Mum found a small piece that had broken off and ate it...could have been prehistoric dinosaur pee for all we know!
Hiked around the bottom of Mt Cook today. It was very wet and very windy which meant it was also very cold. But it was still a lot of fun!
Freda Du Faur, an Australian, was the first woman to climb Mt Cook. She was photographed here, at Frieda’s rock 3 December 1910 - 1 day and 108 years ago.
Off to Mt Cook! Cloudy day but we can see the base of this monster!
3 December 2018
Mildly uneventful day. Off to the beautiful town of Twizel. More like a hill-billy town stuck in the 70s....
2 December 2018
Berry picking today. We didn’t do much, it was so relaxing.
Old school town - very cute
My morning on the cherry farm - clucky chickens and cheeky corgis (Charlie and George)

Walked through old miners tunnels to find glow worms - so cool, it looked like a galaxy!
Rocks instead of sand beach!
27 November 2018
Such a brilliant, exhilarating, jaw dropping experience to share with awesome people. So lucky to have great weather and so privileged to see a Glaciers in this lifetime.
Snow! We had 10 minutes to play in it, throw snowballs and in Darryl’s case, roll around in it. What an epic moment!
Up we go! Dad is white, the rest is full of excitement 😆
About to helicopter to Frans Josef!! 😆😄😝
Oh Deer Dad.... 🦌
Stopped along the way, random waterfalls and blue green lake 🙂
Found the lonely tree 🌳✌️
26 November 2018
Big bed - privileged
Birbs. Largest gull in the world right there. Cutest sparrows in my heart right there. Ducks. 🦆
Luge racing - competition runs heavily through this bloodline...(p.s I won one)
Heading up to the luge!
So windy - almost blew off the hill (no joke). Stunning sites.
25 November 2018
Saw fantastic beasts crimes of Grindelwald 💕
So pretty - bunch of little Asian’s took our photo for us and wanted to get a photo with us too! Super cute
French Cafe - best mini donut (any donut) of my entire life!

23 November 2018

22 November 2018
Upgraded for a good night sleep and hot shower 😴...and internet
We hiked there!
Day 4: Last day hike! Off to make 2pm boat - must race to the dock. Beautiful weather. Saw some kea. Millions of sandflies!
(7 hour hike, 16 km).
21 November 2018
More snow, knee deep snow, cold snow. Found Mackannons memorial - ‘‘twas like a beacon of hope in a snowy blizzard. So pretty! Very tough climb up, track covered in snow, one slip and you fall off the cliff! 😱
Tough climb down, had to use emergency rout due to landslides and avalanches. Boulder after boulder after boulder after fallen tree. But after an 800m decent, we survived and eventually made it to the hut.
(8 hour hike done in 12. 16km, 800m ascent, 800m decent).
Day 3 - snow! Here we go!
20 November 2018
Day 2 - not as wet as yesterday. Found a field of boulders (the start of the boulderous battle), a bus stop with no buses and many waterfalls. It’s stunning, having so much fun! 😁
(6.5 hour hike to hut, 16km)
19 November 2018
Day 1: Caught boat to start of track. It snowed! ❄️ Wet, cold, muddy, beautiful 😁✌️

Cute village. Found door to middle earth.
17 November 2018
We left for Quail Cottage - something out of pride and prejudice - absolutely stunning. Would go there again 💕
Queenstown is very busy as there’s an international race (11,000 participants) 😮 Only hostel available was a dodgy backpackers that didn’t wash sheets 😵 we left 🚘
At Queenstown -very alike to Gold Coast, more for daredevils and wild activities though
