Real Madrid v levante - draw 1-1 - the Madristas weren't happy
Chocolateria San gines - really old famous churro cafe - 6 churros with chocolate between us for 4€ and tea! - traditional Spanish breakfast

Streetxo - top of shopping centre!! unreal food - really random combinations - Korean lasagna and lamb tandoori are the best! Rabbit also nice, prawn soup nice and weird, don't get the scallops! Overall great gastronomic experience! Opens at 8.30, need to be here at 8 and that was a Sunday, always a queue but worth it! Chef has a restaurant with 3 mich stars and this is his more laid back restaurant, very cool vibe! Mexican bar next door great for cocktail! Had the jalepeno one!!
Parc retiro - main park in Madrid - lovely walks
Circulo belles artes - roof top bar- €4 entrance but great view and drinks on top

Mercado San Miguel - lunch in the city - amazing olives, beef, paella, croquettes, wine and beers. Dessert specialities very good too!
Botin - oldest restaurant in the world - had suckling pig which is the specialty and also sole - ok - very traditional nothing to write home about
Platea - canalla bistro by Ricard camerena - the platea is a converted theatre - lots of bars and tapas restaurants on the ground floor and other restaurants on other floors - we booked canella bistro - chef is a Michelin star in Valencia - this is much more casual and reasonably priced but excellent food - Asian influenced and delicious flavours - nice g&ts in the bar areas and jazz and djs providing entertainment - great atmosphere!!
