October 9 Singapore for 16 hours before connecting flight to Adelaide
October 8 Up early to meet Zoran in the foyer for my transfer to Zagreb airport. Sad to say goodbye to Brenda and leave Croatia behind. Departed at 8.45am for Frankfurt and connected with my flight to Singapore, departing at 12.30 pm. All day on the plane before arriving in Singapore at 6.30 am October 9. A VERY long day! The food and service reminds me why I always fly Singapore airlines!! Shrimp salad, pork belly, stir fried fog and rice, Hagen Daaz chocolate ice cream and plenty of red wine! No photos today!! It's a bit like being in no mans land...light are off, blinds are shut, time is 5 pm on my watch but wherever we are, it's dark outside!

October 7 Zagreb We started the day with our local guide and a walking tour of Zagreb. We were shown all of the government buildings, cathedral, markets and then had free time to grab a quick lunch and then explore. It was very different in comparison to previous towns. We returned to the hotel to organise ourselves for the optional tour of Kumrovec which also included dinner. Only a small group participated. Arriving at Kumrovec we met Gabriella our local guide and had a walking tour of the village, which was the birthplace of Tito. A very interesting tour. 10 families have remained living in the village which is now a museum. Following the tour, we went to Gresna Gorica for our final dinner of the tour. The restaurant was in a beautiful setting with views of the fortress. A great way to say goodbye. When we got back to the hotel we met in the bar for farewell drinks. Brenda and I ended our holiday and duty free with a couple of drinks as we packed for the trip home. Fantastic!
