David & Susan's journi to Brittany

25 April 2017

Well still enjoying it in Brittany. We enjoy the Galette, shown, which is a crispy crepe with ham, cheese and egg! But we have never seen so many creperies! Staggering coast line with good coastal pathways. Look at the menu, first item under main course - a piece of butcher!
We have had a good blustery day, today. Wrapped up in our kagools we have walked about 12km around the point. Really fantastic coast line, just like Wales!

What a day! Over 600km! But we have arrived safely in Plogoff. We are somewhat isolated, in the middle of nowhere but the birds are singing and the scenery is very beautiful. We will have to use the car to get to restaurants etc. Our room is a converted barn and is basic, but clean.

Neufchatel-en-Bray is a pleasant little town with a church dating back to the 12th century although most of it was reconstructed after WW2. Approaching the town we came across the roundabout with the cows on! The Musee was an interesting building. However the stags head did not sing like the one in the German Christmas market!!
We have had a safe and pleasant journey so far. The crossing on the ferry was so smooth. We then journeyed about 100 mile to Neufch√Ętel-en-Bray which is just before Rouen.
