After my last morning run in Barcelona, we broke up into two groups. One group went downtown for some shopping and sightseeing. I took a group to the professional soccer stadium for its team of Barcelona. We did the entire tour of the soccer stadium. Then we all met up for lunch to break into two other groups. One group went to the sagrada familia for a tour. The group that Tanya and I lead, went to Mont Juic and climbed up to the top. Then we all went down to the Plaça Catalunya to get ready for dinner for our last night here. What A great time with a fun group! 😁
While we were touring Mont Juic, we were able to tour the Miró gardens. We were able to check out some of his sculptures. What a great place to see some neat art.

After a morning run by the Sagrada Familia, everyone got ready from the group for our morning tour of Barcelona. We hopped on a bus and toured around the main neighborhoods. We got off for a one hour trip to Park Guell above Barcelona. After that, we went back into town for a walking tour into the Gothic quarter. We did a 2 1/2 hour cooking school learning about Catalan and Spanish cooking. After that, we went to the south East end of town and had dinner there. Then we finished back at the hotel. What a fun day!

Today we left France and followed the Mediterranean coast line and stopped at Arles, France. There we visited the old city, the Roman arena which is mostly still intact, and had lunch there. We also got some Van Gogh history, too. Then we got on the bus again for another long stretch into Spain. We arrived for a late dinner in Barcelona, and took an evening walk to the sagrada Familia.

Today was a day on the French Riviera. After a morning run along the beach on the Cannes Promenade, I and the group headed to Eze and the famous Fragonard perfume factory. We then headed to Nice for lunch.

Today we traveled from Italy along the coast and stopped first in Monaco to see the changing of the guard, do some shopping and sightseeing. Then we traveled to Nice back in France. There we met up with Monique Peubez, an English teacher from France, whose class Corvallis MS hosted in 2006. We did some walking in the old town, and one group did some shopping and sightseeing while I lead a group up to the hill. Then we finished up in Cannes for a field trip to the beach! Not the warmest day , but beautiful and sunny!
