HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Sydney once more puts on a spectacular display to bring in 2018. Front row views from the Balcony of the Sydney Opera House.
31 December 2017
Fortunately the girls largely ignored the directions of Tones Tours and Webbs Walkabouts meaning that they got front row seats for the 9 o’clock fireworks. The trial run left us well prepared for the parade of lights and the main event at midnight.
The Opera Gala - Effectively ‘Opera’s Greatest Hits’ all in one show, the perfect introduction and for some of us the only way to see opera.
Enjoying a pre-concert drink at the Sydney Opera House
We head straight to the Opera House, where Tone’s Tours had laid on burgers, pies, beers and some fizz on the steps whilst soaking up the sunshine and atmosphere.
Glad Rags on for the big night out. Waiting for one of the last ferries from Manly. Cliff looking fully refreshed from his excellent sleep at the Manly Beach House Hotel.
30 December 2017
After a nice afternoon in Sydney we all met up with Lee and Nalla Whitney at the The Port in Darling Harbour.
We checked into the Manly Beach House Hotel. Sadly no photos exist of this little treasure but suffice to say we were all pleased that we had plenty of things to occupy us over the next couple of days. As Tone’s Tours highlighted it was cheap and that meant we were able to make more of the News Years Eve celebrations. He was not wrong !
So we head off to explore Sydney and board the ferry from Manly to Circular Quay.
29 December 2017
Meanwhile in Singapore Tone’s Tours gather their guests and treats them to dinner at the airport which judging from the photo’s was well received.
Guests of Webb’s Walkabouts enjoy a relaxing drinks at Hong Kong International Airport before boarding their overnight flight to Sydney.
