Tuesday 2nd Jan - Tones Tours exclusive Wine Tasting. Started at Audrey Wilkinson, far too busy to try any, so onto their sister vineyard Cockfighters Ghost where discovered Christmas in a glass. Then we moved onto Mount Pleasant for a couple of meaty reds followed by Lunch at Gundog Estate and their excellent selection of Semillons. After lunch the obligatory stop at McGuigans for a Shiraz and the Hunter Valley Cheese company. Final stop of the day and best wine tasting at Scarborough and the beautiful views down the vineyard, here unanimously agreed the best wine by far was their Pinot Noir Rose. Back home for BBQ and a great lightning storm show over the valley.
