The Ziz River is a river in the south of Morocco and Algeria. It has its source in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco and flows 282 kilometers into the Sahara Desert in Algeria.
Leaving the High Atlas which stretches for 700 km with a succession of peaks among which ten reach above 4,000 metres.
The Middle Atlas is the northernmost of three Atlas Mountains chains.

A day in Fez is starting. View from southern fortess. Another fortress built to watch over Fez. It is less visited than Borj Nord yet it is well worth visiting for its breath-taking views.

Das Mausoleum von Moulay Ismail ist eine Grabmoschee und befindet sich innerhalb des ehemaligen Palastbezirks des Alawiden-Sultans in der marokkanischen Stadt Meknès. Als Bestandteil der historischen Altstadt von Meknès gehört der Gebäudekomplex seit 1996 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.
Meknes. Stopover. 30.000 Sklaven bauten Gärten, Stadtmauern von 40 km Länge und Paläste von gewaltigen Ausmaßen. So fanden in den riesigen Stallungen 12.000 Pferde Platz, und die Getreidespeicher hatten die Dimensionen einer Kathedrale.
Kasbah. This traditional kasbah towers over the river mouth and thus offers wonderful views. Or just walk around and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
Sewm'eh Hesan‎. It is actually a lone-standing minaret of a never finished mosque that was intended to be the greatest one of the world.

Lunch in Marakesh. Die Koutoubia-Moschee (arabisch ‏ جامع الكتبية‎, dt. Moschee der Buchhändler) ist die größte Moschee von Marrakesch. Sie stammt aus der 2. Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts und ist damit eine der ältesten Moscheen Marokkos.
