Bit of a slow hungover morning after coco Bongos. But finally caught up with jet lag.
We had pizza for brunch and then went to the beach. It was on and off raining so didn't stay there very long. We came back to the room to relax. Watched pochahontus and ordered some room service.
Had a jacuzzi bubble bath with a local beer. And then got ready to go out for food. We met the group for a few drinks, had a flaming shot. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be actually.
Laura and I tried out the Italian restaurant. Very nice food as usual. Then bed for an early night to get prepared for the big day tomorrow.

Woke up early so took advantage of the early morning yoga class. And then had a relaxed day sunbathing through the clouds. Had a beach BBQ for lunch.
Then we went to the gym to burn off some of them he BBQ calories! Had a quick nap before our big night out.
We had a mini hen do for Kirsty, went for a tapas meal and then booked a taxi to go to the famous coco bongos in Cancun. The show was great, balloons were fired everywhere, the dancers were great. Fun night. Got back to the hotel at 4am.

Went to the gym before going out for dinner. The gym is really nice and has a fridge of cold towels - great for after a workout.
Got ready and went to a Mexican restaurant. I tried the local dish of Chicken Moley and did not enjoy it. It was a chilli and chocolate sauce. The waiter was lovely, noticed I wasn't enjoying it and brought me a new meal. We also had a sombrero challenge of who could wear it the longest, laura lost. We then had to do some tequila shots.
To finish meal they gave us a shot called shit in the grass. Ended the evening with a fire show, very impressive. Another earlyish night at 22:30, still a bit jet-lagged.
Woke up on our first morning to stormy weather, it was still warm so had a stroll along the beach and then had breakfast - mimosas for breakfast. It was an all you can eat buffet, this is going to be hard to control over the next week as the food is such a nice quality.
Spent an hour on the beach, laura learnt some salsa dancing and then we spent the afternoon by the pool.
For lunch we went for another buffet style. Kirsty mistook a pepper for one of the hottest chillis in the world 😂 she couldn't speak for about 10 minutes with tears rolling down her face as waiters tried to get everything that would cool her mouth down including water and yogurt!

Arrived in Mexico to some storms... still a nice temperature of 26degrees. Got to our hotel and we were very excited with our room. We also had chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room as a welcome.
Went to a Caribbean restaurant in the complex. We couldn't believe the standard of food seeing as it's all inclusive. Met up with Kirsty and the rest of the wedding group to watch the evenings entertainment of acrobats, fire and contortionists.
Had a few drinks and went to bed at midnight - amazed we stayed up that late as we had been up for 24 hours.
