Watched the sunset over a gin and tonic in Mercury's, the bar dedicated to the Zanzibar star Freddie Mercury ⭐️
Wandering the street maze
Spent part of the day getting lost in amongst the tall stone buildings that make up Stonetown.
Slave museum, Stonetown
Discovered the sad history of the slave trade, very moving.
Today we travelled to Stonetown to explore a different side of Zanzibar and stumbled across the old Fort.

My cocktail was perfectly named for the occasion, sipping the pink sunset while watching the sky change was beautiful.
Life isn't all sun, sea and sand. Cold showers and hand washing your essentials is the traveller reality! Not all bad when you're a two second stroll to the beach though.
Took a long stroll across the shoreline to Kendwa Rocks. Had a spot of lunch and relaxed in the boat bed, just because.
Candlelit dinner for two.
Watching the sunset with sand at your feet whilst listening to the sound of the ocean, life is perfect! Loving Zanzibar 😍

Hammocks, cocktails and wet feet!
A peaceful stroll to this beautiful spot on the island. Fresh mango cocktail whilst chilling in a hammock and watching the local children fish for their evening meal, bliss 🍹
Man meets monkey!
Loved watching this little fella outsmart the dogs. Brilliant entertainment whilst chilling on the beach 🐒
So we have officially discovered paradise!
Found these Zebu chilling on the beach, I never even knew these creatures existed until today. They're beautiful and so placid. Having breakfast looking out onto this piece of paradise was idyllic. Picture perfect beach! 👌☀️

We have landed.
Arrived in a very wet but beautiful Zanzibar. A little bit in love with this island already, cannot wait to explore!
