Last thing we did in NY was visit Jones Beach!
27 July 2013
Headed to Long Island for my boyfriend's cousin's wedding. It was out towards The Hamptons. Absolutely beautiful place and an even more beautiful wedding!
26 July 2013
For the last day in New York City, we walked around and explored a bit and I couldn't leave without getting some NY memorabilia!
25 July 2013
This museum was great! Definitely a must see!
24 July 2013
Art of the Brick Exhibit! Legos everywhere!!
Great view of the entire city! Beautiful views!
Exploring Rockefeller Center and of course my boy had to stop in the Lego shop 😜
23 July 2013
After the 9/11 memorial we walked around down town! We saw the Trinity Church and the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street
22 July 2013
Visited Strawberry Fields and saw the 'Imagine' landmark! Also walked by the Dakota where John Lennon lived and was killed!
One of my favorite things about New York was Central Park! It was really amazing to see so much green and nature in the middle of the concrete jungle! It was beautiful and there was so much to explore! We didn't even get through half of the Park.
Definitely something really cool to do in NYC is the Circle Line Tour! It takes you around to see multiple sights in NY all from the water. We went under many of the famous bridges in New York! Saw the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the UN building and little landmarks in between. The only downside was getting soaked from the biggest downpour I've ever been in before in my life! It came out of no where, lasted for about 20 mins and then the sun came back out! Good thing it wasn't cold so I had time to dry off by the time the cruise was done 😜
21 July 2013
Exploring Times Square! Saw some interesting characters including the "Naked Cowboy"
The first major activity we did in the city was seeing the off broadway play 'First Date'. It was hilarious! Although the main male lead was an understudy, I would have never been able to tell! After the play was done and we were standing outside trying to figure out what to do next, we met the writer of the play and shortly after that, the 2 main actors! 😊
As much as I don't want to associate with where we stayed, the accommodations were amazing! We stayed in Trump Towers overlooking Central Park! It was the most incredible view! The place had 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath, a living room, and kitchen!! It was heaven to say the least! It was also a great location to be fairly close to the things we were doing. Right next to Columbus square!
The summer after I graduated high school was my first real trip that wasn't through school! In 2013 I went to New York! My trip to NY started on Long Island visiting with my boyfriend's extended family! We left from the Ronkonkoma train station and headed to the city! This was my very first time on a train! We took it to Pen Station and started my 1st Subway ride from there!
