We started the day touring the Pilatus in Lucerne followed by a ride on the cog train and a boat ride across the lake to the city of Lucerne. This evening we do our Swiss Folklore Cultural Night. Tomorrow we leave for Heidelberg via the Black Forest

Began the day with a toboggan run outside of Innsbruck, which we later visited for lunch and some exploration. Made a pit stop in Lichtenstein and got our passports stamped! Ended the day at our hotel in Switzerland. Tomorrow we explore the Alps and a Swiss evening.

Our day of travel has come to a close, and we are checked into our hotel for the evening. Here is a view from the balconies!
We left Munich this morning to travel South back to Austria. On our way we made a stop at Neuschwanstein. We are getting ready to take a tour of the castle now! Then on the road to our next stop

We started our day with a visit to BMW World and are following it up by heading to the Dachau memorial camp and a bike tour of Munich. Here is a group picture in front of the BMW building with some of our “adopted” group members 😊
*Edit: During our bus tour of Munich we learned that because of the way the water is pumped in from the river there are places you can actually surf in the city limits

We started the day off early by loading up the bus and leaving Vienna for Salzburg. In Salzburg we did a small walking tour, followed by lunch, and little free time by the river. Once we finished we headed to the nearby mountains to tour the local salt mines, which were essential in the wealth and prosperity of the region. We arrived in Munich around 730 for dinner and then a little time to unwind before bed.

We started our day with a tour of the Schönbrunn Palace, followed by a bus tour of Vienna, and then a little free time in the heart of Vienna. The afternoon attractions included a visit to the museum of natural history and some near by gardens, as well as a bike tour of many of the green spaces in Vienna. Finishing with dinner now (Schnitzel and steamed veggies) and then we are off to an amusement park near the hotel!
Everyone is at least somewhat rested and excited to tour the city! We have a tour of a local palace, followed by a bus tour of the city, and then hopefully a bike tour! Tomorrow we leave for Salzburg and Munich.

Overall, today was a pretty good success. We landed and had to wait for the other groups. After a walking tour of Vienna, we had 5 hours of free time! We started by going to a small park near some of the palaces and relaxing and taking in the new surroundings. After that we went to an art museum. Fun fact: in Austria anyone under 19 gets into state museums etc for free. About 3 hours into our free time before dinner everyone hit a wall. I thought a few of the students were going to fall asleep standing, so we went back to the park for nap time. We are now settled into our hotel rooms and getting ready for bed. Tomorrow we will have a bus tour and a scenic bike tour option. More updates to come!
We made it through an international flight to Frankfurt and cleared customs without a problem. All of the students did a great job with the flight even though quite a few of them haven’t flown in a long time if at all. Now we are headed into the heart of Vienna while we wait for the other student groups to arrive 😁
