10 August 2017

A day of leisure Got up around 8am and had a leisurely break-fast. Freshly cooked omelettes followed by fresh pancakes Spent the day in the hotel relaxing by the pool and we were lucky enough that the hotel agreed a late (4pm) check out Our transfer guide, Fidel met us at the hotel and transferred us to Iguazu airport for our flight to Lima Iguazu airport is tiny and chaotic and LATAM Airlines policy of having to either check in on line or self check in at the airport before baggage drop means there are long queues in a tiny airport with lots of frustrated passengers from all nationalities struggling to make sense of the system We are staying in Lima in transit to Cusco and our flight to Cusco us tomorrow (11th August) at 9:10 am. Self checking resulted in being checked in all the way to Cusco which is a bonus that we won't have to endure that in the morning. However it also meant that our luggage appeared to have been checked in all the way to Cusco! Chaotic Baggage drop off/check
Arrived safely in Lima and baggage arrived as well Met by our guide , Juan checked into the transit hotel Transit hotel entrance directly opposite and across the street from the airport exit doors - less than a 5 minute walk Good hotel Checked in and settled for our first Pisco Sours around 11:30pm Off to bed around midnight
