More from the walk to the lighthouse
The Catlans, we were near Roaring Bay to see the penguins and sea lions. Saw some sea lions and pups from afar but the iPhone camera couldn’t pick it up. The scenery was so beautiful. Has made our trip from Invercargill to Dunedin really special.
On the road again 🎵

Made it to Bluff! The most southern town. A few years ago we were at Cape Reinga so it feels a little like finishing a full circle. 🌅
Made it to Invercargill and their beautiful Queens Park which includes lots of fun for kids and an animal park!
Last breakfast in Queenstown

The stretch between Haast and Wanaka.
Pit stop for whitebait fritters at Bruce Bay.
Spent today driving from Franz Josef to Wanaka. One of the most beautiful stretches of NZ. It was a rainy start but started to clear as we went along. We’ll stay here a few nights before heading off to Queenstown!
26 April 2018
We organised a private hot pool at Franz Josef Glacier. Was a highlight of the trip so far. Set in the rainforest, our own space to relax and unwind, and be thankful for all that has come our way. Photos don’t do it justice.
Drive from Hokitika to Franz Josef Glacier. We’ll stay here a few nights. Vibrant tourist town with lots to explore.

Pancake rocks at sunset 🌅
Punakaiki. Another day, another beautiful beach. We’re starting to get into the rhythm of this trip now.
23 April 2018
Carters Beach, just outside of Westport on the northern end of the West Coast. Feels like an outpost. Beach just leaves you feeling at peace.
A pit stop that gets the thumbs up from Will 🦆🐷🐮 #roadtrip #campervan #newzealand #animals

St Arnaud. Staying in the National Park campsite right next to Lake Rotoiti. It’s such breathtaking scenery, with ducks and eels at the lakeshore. But all Will cares about is throwing rocks into the water! Loves it!

Another rainbow today! And the heavens shining through. Feels like the right road to be following. 🙌
Peter and his mussels. It was like watching someone have an out of body experience! He’s voted these ones from Havelock up there with the best in New Zealand.
Drive from Picton to Nelson. One of the most beautiful drives I’ve ever been on.
19 April 2018
Ferry from Wellington to Picton
18 April 2018
Got up early to drive from Whanganui to Wellington. Staying overnight in Wellington so we can catch up properly with Paulette. Have found the most beautiful place to stay through Airbnb. Right on the water at Karaka Bay. 👌
16 April 2018
Drive to New Plymouth
15 April 2018
Overnight at the laid back seaside town of Raglan. Photos are from the accomodation view and local beach. 👌
14 April 2018
Paying respect to Peters father and grandparents.
13 April 2018
Lots of fun at the Auckland Zoo. The bug display was a standout!
Breakfast with Nanna. Had the most beautiful meal at an Israeli place. Had to buy the cookbook written by the mother of the family restaurant.
11 April 2018
We weren’t planning on being in Christchurch until the END of our trip. But bad weather in Auckland meant a diversion here until Thursday. Lots of construction happening around the city. It still seems like a vibrant and friendly place. Fly back to Auckland tomorrow to ‘officially’ start the trip!
