Andrew's trip to Portland, OR, United States

22 November 2016

Every other week which is night Siri days but not both. The salaries about 275. Looks like a very nice place to live a little kind a rainy but a nice residential areas in the downtown area is only about 25 minutes away from the hospital when you could certainly live there if you don't mind the commute each way work was definitely busy but it didn't look overwhelming the hospital looked a satisfactory but very limited growth potential and no teaching and probably not a lot of help maybe better to revisit this in a year
The chairman was a very much and nuts and bolts young Indian guy with the wife and two little kids wife is an optician. He stressed out that the program is in evolution and people basically just had to roll with it where it was too bad for them. He had no inspirational or spiritual qualities that we're having a dinner and it seem to me he was actually discouraging me from taking the position. It looks like it would be a least a couple years before they get on the every other week schedule
Not vested until three years.
At airport now. Had a nice dinner last night. Irene thinks I talk too much at the dinner. It appears it will be at least 2 to 3 years before they have the every other week system. For now it's a normal 8 to 5 job plus a few days a month a call maybe five. They make a big deal out of the benefits but they're just standard benefits. Plus there's about $23,000 a year for pension but it's not vested until

Arrived at the hospital the person I'm supposed to call when I get here doesn't answer the phone so now I'm wanting around looking for where I'm supposed to go
No parking in the visitors lot. I think it's already pretty receptionist and pretty Asian lady walk-through so ridiculous The elevators I don't have buttons I have to be pre-program for the floor this is the doll Kaiser building by the waterfront really nice view looks like New England Eyring so lonely does everything right
