Nico for dinner. Italian spot in the North End. Burrata special, Meatball, Rigatoni with scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, peas. All in a black truffle cream. So good. Felt like a meatball afterwards though. Price ya pay.
Mike's Pastry shop. We got an Oreo flavored cannoli. Left the gun though.
Most depressing part of our day was on our way to Mike's Pastry, in the North End, we stopped and walked through the Holocaust Memorial, which included an artists recreation of the gas chambers.
Quick stop for an impromptu street show, then off to Quincy Market and Faniuel Hall. We got 50 cent large seltzers. What a deal.
Afterwards, off to the water and aquarium.
Walked to through Boston Common and Boston Gardens en route to the Old State House -- site of the Boston Massacre. We got a coincidental private lesson on the transition from royal governors to state governors.
Traipsed around Beacon Hill area -- Irving, Myrtle, Cambridge, Revere, Charles. Ended up at Tate Bakery. Split a prosciutto, fig, and Brie sandwich and a short rib grilled cheese with beet horseradish and cheddar. Yum. Very K4P.
Woke up at 8:45am to leave at 9pm. Classic. Never on time. Left at 9:15am and went to Garelic for oatmeal. 3 hours later, emily and I are in Boston.
Checked in at The Liberty Hotel -- a converted prison. Very cool. Got upgraded and got sparkling wine. Nothing says "have a great day" like sparkling wine at noon.
