By the banks of Ség - which is running around the castle and Benedek hill - we had dinner at a newly opened restaurant, Fricska. It's owned by some chefs who worked at Michlen star restaurants in Budapest.
Everywhere you look you find interesting details like cut windows or beautiful gates.
From the castle we walked down - then up - to Benedek hill, where locals use to chill out and has an amazing view with inspiring atmosphere.
First we walked up to the castle through the old town. The architecture is amazing and flowers are everywhere.
We had a one day family trip to Veszprém, north from lake Balaton. Veszprém is a real gem, if you happen to be in Hungary and want to see other places too, not just the capital, a half or a whole day in Veszprém is highly recommended - however there are several other towns those worth a visit. Let the pictures speak.
