Funny moment: played cards against humanity with the group. Despite not knowing what a soggy Sao was Stacey laughed the hardest out of all of us. According to her it's just a soggy biscuit.
6 January 2018
Second day in Queenstown. Went and did the canyon Fox and the canyon swing.
Both were great but the canyon swing was definitely the better of the two. I ended up jumping backwards.
After that, went for a walk around Queenstown.
Finished the night playing lawn bowls and drinking. My team won of course!

We walked a little further and ended up at the botanic garden where we went to visit a eater disappointing daffodil garden... They lied!!!
On our way back ran into some of the people on our tour who said the cab driver had returned the phone!!!

Started the day at Hellsgate where I enjoyed a mud bath and sulphur bath. I'm still trying to get rid of the smell.
I then enjoyed a guided walk through some of the hot water pools and mud pits.
The guided walk was filled with interesting stories on Maori legends such as the princess who killed herself to avoid divorce, and that volcanic activity is actually the unborn volcanic God trying to escape the womb. Also had a go at wood carving... Let's just say there is room for improvement.
After that went for a hike through the 'forbidden forest' aka Redwoods.
New Year's Eve was spent drinking at the pub and watching the fireworks over the lake.
30 December 2017
