Amanda's adventure in Florence, Italy

19 August 2017

Cinque Terre is one of the most beautiful, quaint places I have ever seen. We were able to see 3 of the 5 villages, which are all only accessible via train. After a perfect day there, we came back to the hotel to get ready for a night of dancing! Tomorrow we head to Venice!
We did a walking tour of the main square in the city of Firenze. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and it was a great tour! Afterwards, we went back to the hostel to nap and do some laundry, then we walked with a group of people to the Piazzale Michelangelo, which is basically a giant hill with a magnificent view of the city. It was a pretty relaxing day, and I still got 20,000 steps in. 😂

We got on a bus to head to Florence this morning and stopped in Sienna for lunch and to explore the city. Sienna is gorgeous and very hot and has a beautiful main square. After lunch, we traveled for another hour to Florence, where we took a short walk around the area and had dinner. Some people are heading out to celebrate a trip mate's success on passing her first round on CPA exams. Congrats Holly!
