Alan's tour through Costa Rica

26 February 2017

February 24
February 23, Mary Ann and I flew from George Bush Intercontinental to San Jose, CR. We were met by Mauricio Camacho, our favorite driver, and drove to Uvita, CR. We got to the car rental (National), at 4:55, just 5 minutes before closing! We got our vehicle, which is a Suzuki 4x4 (small). We then followed instructions from our car agent, to the Oxygen Jungle Villas, about 10 kilos from Uvita......on a very interesting road/Path. Once we arrived, the staff were totally prepared. We quickly checked into our room, (details coming), Which was pretty close to sunset, (6:00pm) Room: this hotel has 12 like bungalows, they are situated so that 6 have "Jungle" views, and 6 have "Ocean" views! Great concept. Each villa sits on a roughly 50' x 30' cement pad. The structure is roughly 28' long, and 19' wide. ALL GLASS! Of course the bathroom is "frosted ", the rest is "butt glass ". Awesome!! You can see one other bungalow from ours, but of course, you can't see anything because of the foliage.
