December 2017

31 December 2017

Oh, surprise surprise! We are in Wake Forest again! This time, to ring in the new year with The Avett Brothers. One more thing crossed off my bucket list.

Merry Christmas!!! Our little living room has never looked so festive. With coffee and our Christmas pajamas we celebrated with just the three of us. We read God’s Word and ate breakfast and then opened presents as “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” played on our record player.

Grandma has been in a rehab facility since a recent extended visit to the doctor, meaning we had to bring Christmas to her. I gave her a photo album with pictures from our wedding - when she got to the picture with her and grandpa in it, she got a huge smile on her face.

Phoebe got to meet Santa for the first time!! Clearly she really didn’t have time for him 😂

Dylan is the sweetest husband. I had some dental work done (first time getting cavities filled 😬) and my sweet husband not only waited patiently for me the whole time, he also had lovely flowers waiting for me after 😍

We are always on the move! Just a week after a fast paced trip to New York we are back on the road again to Wale Forest. Emily and Seth invited us to join them at the Annual Gala for Justice to support 127 Worldwide and Invisible Girl Project. What a night!! I love any chance I can get to be fancy.

2 December 2017

Dylan and I had to recreate our photo from Ireland. We are calling it our official travel photo pose! NYC’s weather was perfect (way cold) but perfect and beautiful!!
To start December off with a bang, we took a bus trip NYC!! And even better yet, we were only in the city for one day. It was a crazy experience but lots of fun and tons of memories.
