Aaron, Chance and Cam's trip to Icelandic SP

6 August 2017

Over The River We went up the Ranger station and looked around. There was a lot of neat info on the founding of the area. I guess there were immigrants from 22 nations that settled here. Cam desperately wanted a grab bag for $5. It was her money so I let her. She got a bracelet, gummy bear keychain, and toy id badge. We also checked out a GPS to go geocaching for the first time. They had two, Over The River, and Through The Woods. We tried Over The River, since it was closest. It was a nice senic trail to a bridge. Not knowing how this thing worked, I thought it would take us to the exact location. We crossed that bridge back and forth about three times. Plus I climbed down through the overgrowth. I brushed something and my leg started itching. I was worried about poison ivy, but it went away pretty quick. Eventually we gave up for the time being. Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of any of this.

After setting up camp, we had a fine meal on our tent floor. Lunchables and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Chance, Cam and I got up early from Grandma and Grandpa's and took a road trip to Icelandic State Park. Here's our home base for the day.
